The Province of Como is an area with an extremely various landscape and many different towns and villages. Lake Como is the geographic centre of an area surrounded by rugged mountains and rolling hills, narrow valleys and other larger and very impressive valleys. There are densely populated plains and still unspoilt forests, small towns and cities and many lakeside and mountain villages.

The warm colours of the landscape contrast with the snow-capped peaks of the surrounding mountains. The whole area has always exerted its particular attraction on man since ancient times, with terraces of crops including olives, vines and citrus fruits as well as mulberry trees.

This rich and varied territory seemed purpose made for the luxury villas built directly on the banks of the lake or in the surrounding Hills.
