The route takes in the historic centre of Como and its pedestrian are, using the narrow mediaeval streets that now brim with elegant stores that are overlooked by the majestic Cathedral. The architecture is a rare example of a fusion of three different styles, the Romanesque basilica of St Fedele, the imposing Porta Torre which, with its fortifications that defended the city, and the numerous ancient noble buildings in different styles that conceal unexpected courtyards and porticos. Piazza Cavour, Piazza Duomo, Piazza San Fedele, Piazza Volta and Piazza Mazzini are bustling locations where you can see stalls, rides, bands and crowds of locals and tourists.
